Since our inception, Future Academy has seen a steady flow of students from IP schools such as RGS and RI – this is especially since our co-founders and head tutors are ex-teachers who taught in IP schools for many years. We understand how the IP works

Despite the IP having been implemented for quite many years now, many parents may still be unfamiliar with how it really works, and how it differs from the mainstream O level track. As such, having tutors who are extremely familiar with the system, syllabus, and the experiences of these students, will better allow them to teach in a targeted and effective way.

For example, our principal tutor Ms Yvonne Chen is a former teacher of RGS, and another of our co-founders, Mr Jason Lau, had taught in another IP school for many years prior to becoming a tutor. Besides being knowledgeable about our teaching content, these tutors are well-versed in explaining difficult concepts and challenging high ability students, while also being skilled in building rapport with the youths they are teaching.

In case you missed it: We are now in Braddell! Our tuition centre in Braddell is the third of our branches, and is strategically situated to increase accessibility and convenience to our students in RGS and RI.

For those who prefer something nearer their homes or in the central area, our first two centres are also still running, at Bukit Timah and at Bugis. Talk about being spoilt for choice!

Now, going to tuition after school will be a breeze. Say goodbye to long commutes and detours to a faraway tuition land. We get it, your time is precious!

We have dedicated classes for RGS and RI students

Nothing screams exclusivity like having a whole tuition class for students only from your school. Trying to juggle between the different pace and curriculum with students from various schools in one class can be challenging – and inevitably some students may feel like their needs are not being met.

So, as long as there are enough RGS and RI students, we do regularly launch exclusive classes for these IP students. This makes a huge difference as we can now match our pace to their lessons in school, prep them for their assessments and exams at the right time, and adjust the difficulty level to what’s expected of them in their school.

Combined Science, Math, Chemistry are just some of the subjects we have ongoing classes for – do contact us to arrange with us or request a new class.

We have a small class size policy

Many top tutors do lecture-style tuition where you may see as many as 30 to 40 students crammed into one classroom, making it not much different from learning in school.

But we are committed to providing a small group tuition experience, which ensures more interaction with the tutor. Our students don’t have to jostle to get our tutor’s attention, and our tutors can also provide more personalised attention and tailored teaching with fewer students in the class. This works out well for our students in RGS and RI, some of whom learn better when they have an avenue to have intellectual discussions.
